Sarswati Pujo

Saraswati Puja on Vasant Panchami. Vasant Panchami is a festival that marks the arrival of Spring-the king of all seasons. It is also a celebration of the ripening of agricultural fields. Bengalis celebrate this day with the worship of Devi Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and education. This day is revered as especially important for students as this day marks the beginning of exam season.

Lokkhi Pujo

Lokkhi Pujo or Laxmi Puja. The full moon that appears right after Durga Puja is the day when Bengali moms celebrate Kojagori (awake overnight) Lokkhi Pujo. This is also a way to mark the culmination of the Durga Puja festivities. ”Alpona” (wet rangoli) and “Narkel Naru” (Cococunt Laddu) are the most revered features of this Laxmi Puja.

Kali Pujo

Kali Puja, also known as Shyama Puja or Mahanisha Puja is celebrated on the new moon day (Dipannita Amavasya) of the Hindu month Kartik coinciding with Diwali, the festival of lights signifying inner and outer illumination, protection of innocence by destroying the evil.
